The Crossroads

In the poem, "The Road Not Taken", Robert Frost tells us about a crossroad where he makes a critical decision to take a particular road and leave the other road. Through his poetry, Robert reminds us about a particular point in our lives when we need to make the decision that will take us to the next level in our lives. The poem tells us to choose the road "less traveled by" against the seemingly beautiful and popular road that leads nowhere. Like the poet persona, our students have gotten to their crossroads. They have gotten to the very crossroad of destiny.  They need to grab the bull by the horns and make decisions that are devoid of juvenile shenanigans in a bid to help them become important men and women in society.

WAEC, NECO and JAMB are here again. They need to make important decisions as to whether to sit up or not to situp for their senior secondary school examinations. We believe that our esteemed students will toll the path that The Embodiment of Love Academy has shown them which is the path of hard work, zeal, perseverance, resilience, and excellence. The citadel of learning has equipped the outgoing learners with everything that it takes to wade through the turbulent waters of life and emerge victorious, meritorious and become persons worthy of emulation by the younger generations. The school has inculcated an undiluted body of knowledge, values that ameliorate the world and good character in our students.

It is true that WAEC, NECO and JAMB are crossroads that have held many people back from becoming the great men and women that they had dreamt of becoming. It is also true that these examinations have delayed many people. It is also true that many have joined the bandwagon of malpractices to be able to scale these hurdles. In the latter, it has been proven that those that followed dishonourable paths of malpractice did not end up as honourable men and women.

We know that this is not what our students desired. They desire glory and honour that is proven and well deserved. We, at The Embodiment of Love Academy, have have done this. We have seasoned our learners for the rigours of these examinations. We only urge them to believe in everything that we have taught them and also to believe in themselves. When they do this, success is guaranteed.

As our learners write these examinations, we wish them God's favour, goodness, mercy and success. And as they journey in the race of life, we pray that God will be the lamp to their feet and guide every one of their actions and inactions as they cross the roads that lead to many destinations in life.
