I want to be happy

Like the sun that smiles on everyone

l want to be free

Like the river that flows without boundaries

I prayed in our closet

Fasted on holy mountains

For the joy that I have but did not know.


My prayers were answered but

I did not know it

I kept disturbing divinity

For what I could do for myself

I was confused, sad and worried

Gloomed like the darkness of the night.


Until I heard a still voice say

I have answered you

Yet you did not know

Because you wanted more and more

I have granted your heart's desire

But your greed has closed your eyes

Revere the little that you have

And shall have the whole world.

Sometimes in 2011, I taught in one of the tutorial centers somewhere in Egan. After my class, I decided to have a conversation with some students.
